Finally stopped in the famed hot dog stand a couple of weeks ago after a long hiatus. Lived in RL from May '89-Nov '02 which is when I was in & out of this place along with a few other RL area favs. Not just hot dogs but their overall menu has always been awesome. Good prices, friendly service and tasty quality eats will keep you coming back to this wonder. Been living in Beach Park for nearly the last 19 years so unfortunately I usually end up some place much closer when in the mood for a Chicago grill. Been at least a couple of years since I've been to Scotty's, though. After biting into that dog & fries automatically it brought me back in time. Gonna try to make it out here a bit more often 'cause I definitely miss this taste!😎👍

We've been buying Scotty's food since 1973. The hot dogs were out of this world and they wrap the fries with the hot dogs. However, the original owners sold the hot dog stand recently and now the hot dogs have no taste. Oh, and if you want a really bad tamale, be sure to buy one at Scotty's. The former owner, Mark, would not have sold this.

Pretty good and fast. Live right down the street. ordered two gyros for me and mom was ready in 5 minutes. Hot and tasty. A little pricey but that's due to Inflation so. Will definitely order again.

The workers are always polite and kind. The service is fast and accurate, never had a problem with my orders. The food is DELICIOUS highly recommend the Italian beef egg rolls, so freaking good, another must try are gyros and Chicago style dogs. They also have whole pickles and they are one of the few places where you can buy a whole pickle. They are very generous with their fries.
